Update...

Today I have taken the rare opportunity to film some clouds moving for the end of the video. There were a few birds flying about so I hope it's not too noticeable on the video! I'm going to edit the footage tomorrow as there is someone on the editing suite I was using today and I don't have any more study periods today to do it in. Fingers crossed it's OK to use!
I hope to video the sunset at some point this week or the beginning of next week so I hope there is a day when it's nice weather and not too cloudy!

Update on my video

Over the past few months I have been concentrating on shooting my video and doing a bit of editing. However I now have a problem. The person I originally wanted to be in my video now works on a weekend, both Saturday and Sunday. This means that I now can't film her when I need to. So I am looking at changing my cast. There is also a lack of cameras available to borrow from the college to film with, and due to the fast approaching deadline, I am slightly worried that I won’t be able to film all that I need to before the deadline. I hope to book a camera for this coming weekend to film with a new performer and hopefully keep editing next week. I have already done all the shots indoors, and most of the shots outdoors. However I need to re-shoot some of the shots outdoors as it's too dark on the video. If the weather is good at the weekend, I should have all of my footage and it will be ready for the deadline next Friday!

Exams are over!

I sat my last exam a couple of days ago, so I can now focus all my attention on shooting and editing for my music video. I am also going to start thinking about my ancillory texts and take necessary pictures for them while I'm filming. Doing it while I'm filming will keep everything the same and it's also much easier than taking screen shots of my video. The pictures will also be better quality.

January exams

I have 5 A2 January exams this year, and I am currently focusing on revision. This means that for the mean time, I wont be doing a great deal of shooting and editing for my video. I will pick up where I left off after my last exam.

First edit of my music video

The video is not completely finished and hopefully, from the audience feedback from this edit I can see what I need to do to improve.

During my video - filming

I began filming again with an HD SD card camera, which is also much better than the tape camera I was using previously. It is much higher quality, and it also doesn't take as long to upload onto the editing suite!

Disaster!!

I finished all of my filming yesterday for my first draft edit of my video, and then asked the media technician to set me up on an editing suite. As he uploaded the shots from my tape, we discovered that the tape didn't work and all the shots were showing up with black stripes across the screen. I have spoken to my media teacher about this and to rectify the problem, I have to re-shoot all of my video and use an SD card camera instead. I hope to finish filming for next monday - Dec 10th, and my first edit will hopefully be ready by next friday - Dec 15th.
